We’ve got several customers that use the Photo Monitor on a small control point. The guard is 1 meter away from the turnstile.
He will see people passing by him and he will compare the faces he sees with the photos on the monitor. The monitor can either be local or sometimes remote like a huge screen 10 meters away.
For these cases, the photo needs to take all the height of the screen like the AEOS Classic interface was able to. That way, the guard can clearly see the picture of the person on the monitor.
Using the new dashboard, it’s like the previous one, pictures are too small è see “Before.png”.
Fortunately, we can zoom in to have the picture much bigger (see “After.png”), however it’s not big enough and it’s not by default. Customer needs to zoom in manually.
I believe the Photo Monitor should use the complete display height like AEOS classic was doing è see “Classic Photo Monitor.png”.
To the question “why don’t people just stick to the classic interface for this usage”, answer is simple : JAVA Applet.
